Hello, my name is Senta and traveling is one thing I really like to do. With traveling you can meet a lot of different people, for example in the airplane towards your destination or in a café in the town or city that you are visiting. For me it is very interesting to see and learn how people from other countries live and how their culture might differ from mine. I do not only like traveling because of the people but also because of the different environments. I love to walk for a couple of hours through a city or country I have never been to. I am very interested in the architecture and the cultural parts of a place, but also in the environments and nature.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am hoping that through Couchsurfing I can meet new people and be able to learn about their culture and maybe learn them something about my culture. To couchsurf one really needs trust in one another and I think that is really important and special. Letting someone stay in your house or being a guest in someone's house whom you have never met before already creates a special bond/friendship, something which will not be achieved by just sleeping in a hotel.

Since I like to travel and want to see a lot of the places I am visiting, it is really important for me to have a good place to sleep. But for me Couchsurfing is not just a way to find a place to sleep, but also to connect with my host and learn each other new things.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My favorite bookseries is 'The Others' from Anne Bishop. The way she makes her characters come to life is really amazing and once I start in the next book it is hard for me to stop reading once in a while.

I don't really have a favorite music genre but I do have a favorite band, which is The Script. I can always listen to one of their songs, they always make me happy. I also have a favorite cover band which is Walk Off the Earth. I find their way of covering songs very interesting and unique. Their new videos always make me smile.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Two years ago I was spending my holiday with my best friend in Croatia and we met some guys who often jumped from the cliffs which were all around the campingsite. They asked us if we wanted to come and even though I have a great fear of heigths I still wanted to try it and I felt invincible and immediately went a second, and a third time.

I don't really have a lot to share with hosts once I am already on my holiday except for telling the stories of my holiday and just being cosy company. I am very social and won't be rude to the hosts and help with things in the house whenever I can and if needed. But I always have stroopwafels with me, so that is something I can always offer 😉
