About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to feel the sun on my face in both hemispheres, experience the harsh beauty of the Antarctic Peninsula, and discover new things about this world and what they mean for my life.

ABOUT ME

I think that I'm pretty open minded, and I love to learn new things. I am a dreamer, a romantic, and like to let my imagination take flight.
I want to go wherever the wind takes me with no deadlines and no worries.
I also talk a lot. Working on keeping a lid on it, but it'll be a life project. :p

PHILOSOPHY

The world is waiting for me--and I'm ready to see it all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spread the word about Couchsurfing as often as I can and never hesitate to share the amazing experiences I've had with this community in an effort to encourage my friends to become a part of the great world of CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the opportunity to surf with two fantastic hosts while I was visiting Edinburgh in September 2011, and I stayed with a lovely young family in St. Catherines, Ontario in Spring 2012. My mom (Cowmom on CS) and I also had a fantastic experience couchsurfing in September 2013.
I loved every minute of it and hope to one day be able to host people in my home and return the hospitality that I appreciated so much.

Interests

Reading (almost anything), films, music, writing, this beautiful world we live in, travel, meeting new people with stories to tell.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Pride and Prejudice, anything by Clive Cussler, the poetry of Robert Service and Robert Frost, plus so many more! (I am a collector of books, old and new)

Movies: Sometimes I like films that make me think, other times I just want to sit down to a nice evening with The Terminator.

Music: most every genre appeals to me in some way or another, but at the end of a hard day I like to sit down with my good old Tanglefoot or The Wailin' Jennys (Canadian folk)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whether it was the view from Calton Hill in Edinburgh, the expansive greenery in Kensington Gardens (and the statue of Peter Pan!), the view of Edinburgh Castle at night, or just looking up at the massive pillars of the British Museum, I feel I've seen some beautiful things and peeked into the time of our forefathers.
I hope to see many more things and places that take my breath away. I can't wait!

Teach, Learn, Share

Love all you meet--everyone deserves that.

Respect everyone, even those who seem to be being rude--who knows what kind of day they've just had?
