About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being able to travel the world as a reporter and artist.
ABOUT ME
I am. That is the most certain and consistent thing I can say about myself.
Then the more volatile parts of my existence. My name is Jesse. I am a 28 old Dutch writer. About 200 days ago I gave up my job and decided it was time to start writing and reporting full time, while travelling around the world indefinitely.
Currently I stay in Thailand and I focus on writing travel related articles for my blog, and creating web content for companies.
At the moment I am also very active in raising money for non-profit organisations. I like to support organisations in the countries where I stay for a longer period.
You can visit my blog If you like to know more about my fund raising activities, or if you need more travel information about Bangkok or Thailand.
Are you a travel blogger?
As of now I am organizing weekly Lunch & Teach meetings in Bangkok. In these free to attend meetings I provide advice about various travel blogging topics.
Upcoming Lunch & Teach meetings are at: 30-08-2014 and 02-09-2014. Check out these CS events pages for more information: Lunch & Teach 30-08-2014 and Lunch & Teach 02-10-014.
Hopefully we can meet each other in the future and share our knowledge and experiences :)
PHILOSOPHY
- What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do. Resolve to do one thing every day that you fear.
- What you do is infinitely more important than how you do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to help travelers so that they become familiar with Bangkok/Thailand. This city can be crazy and stressful at your first visit. I want to make sure you have a good first impression of Thailand and Bangkok and that you do not escape the capital city in stress. It really has a lot to great stuff to offer. I will do my best to make you feel comfortable in this great country.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met so many inspiring people because of CS. It opened my world in a very positive way. It provided me with some good friendships.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I ever did was leaving my job and life in The Netherlands for an indefinite trip around the world. Now life is a constant roller coaster ride full of amazing events, which I would never have experienced when staying home. Living abroad changed my life completely, and it made me meet my beautiful girl Dianna, who is the most amazing gift I could ever wish for in this world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Currently I am devoting a lot of my time to help other travelers. I can also teach you Dutch or English and I am a writer so I can give lessons in writing (poetry, columns, story's, webcontent etc.). I can also provide you with a lot of information about Bangkok/Thailand, in person or via my blog. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
