Bonjour, Hi! I'm Seongok from Korea.
(I know it's hard to pronounce so that you can call me Victoria, haha => )
I'm now staying in Montreal for exchange student in Concordia university.
This is why I say Bonjour, Hi instead of Hello or something like that ;-) It's the land of ice and snow!

It's always pleasure to meet new people and get to know each other.
I'm ready to get along with others. I'm laid back and easygoing girl.
But I'm clean and keep the rule and also I respect others' privacy.

I really love to experience new culture and share my culture, too.
It's because what I study in University is closely related with the Western culture. I'm studying English Literature and it's all about the Western culture, history and philosophy. In the literary works, I can experience each aspects of age and learn about the phases of the times. So that, I want to experience the modern culture and share the Asian one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm now young, free and wild.
I really want to experience something like adventure.
For me, Couchsurfing will be the first adventure.
It's whole new to me to stay in other's house especially, someone that I never meet before. Like I said before, I love to meet new people and be a friend.
It's like modern miracle that connected by internet.
So, it will be great start doing Couchsurfing. I'm really exciting about it.

Interests

Actually, I have double major in English Literature and Design&(little bit of)Programming. For that reason, I have a lots of interest in Art and IT area.
Last semester, I made my own web page by using Java Script and Photoshop.
It was really basic one, but later I really want to improve my programming skills and design ability. So now I have a big interest in making codes and looking awesome web portfolios. Also, I have huge interest in Classic Art. My favorite artist is Gustav Klimt. For that reason, I'm hugely looking forward to visit local museums!

Music, Movies, and Books

Everyday, I start my day with music. Recently, I fall in love with Sam Smith's music, especially 'I'm not the only one'. I don't have any experience like the song, but I like it, haha =) Likewise, I really love to listen British pop like Oasis, Adele, and Sting. But, also I'm a big fan of American pop music. It's so hard to write in here everything because there are so many great artist in America. Also, I really love to listen jazz music, such as Claude Bolling and Stan Gatz. Last year, I went to Jazz festival in Korea, and it was great. If you have a chance to visit Korea, you should go there.

Because of my future dream job(working in the Pixar), I really love to watch animation movies. Last month, I watched 'Tangled' and it made me cry when Rapunzel realized her dream. Also, this scence is sooooo beautiful so that I hugely recommend this film. But it does not mean that I don't watch any other area of movies. My favorite movie is Silver Lining Playbook. I love the plot and the characters in the movie.

Since my major is English Literature, I have to read a lots of books every semester. For that reason, it's so hard to pick up the best one, but I think the drama 'Street car named desire' was really interesting and one of my favorite one. Also, I really like to read C.S.Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia. It's the children fantasy novel, but there are full of good lecture of politics, religion, and justice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Korea, I joined a club which is related with my University community website. In there, I made the Column board. Lots of our University students registered to be a columlists. I picked up 8 people and they posted their colums and the result was really tremendous. It changed into the place to communicate each other's opinion and get various kinds of information. That is the one of the amazing thing that I've done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recently, I started to exchange language.
I teach Korean to my friend and I'm quite doing good=)

I love to cook and want to learn cooking.
It's a big plasure to make exotic food and unique fusion food.
