I am a college girl from Korea and am currently doing an internship in D.C.. Traveling has been one of my top priorities after I entered college but I feel like last year's Europe backpacking was a turning point of my traveling life. If I was to say I was focused more on exploring and going to places until last year, now I am focused more on what I actually do there, even if that means I don't get to see the "must-see places." This really changed my perspective of how I see and plan my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join couchsurfing after my first couchsurfing experience in Miami. I has hosted with my friend by a couchsurfing host in Miami and it was truly a magical experience. He was very generous in terms of opening up his amazing house but his hospitality was what made the trip really memorable. The only reason why we felt so at home in a place that we had never been to was because he tried to help us with every smallest tips with kindness and the fun conversations were what made Miami so special. I believe that couchsurfing allows that click, and I am looking forward to many more special friendships.

I used to love and still do love hip-hop and Beyonce and am exploring classics and EDM these days. I love Corinne Bailey Rae, Florence + the Machine, and Rachael Yamagata also. I have too many favorites!

Film-wise I do not have a favorite yet, but I really enjoyed Forrest Gump, Silence of the Lambs.

I like Fitzgerald, Alain de Botton and Kyoung Sook Shin.
