About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Impossible.... to define
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm aiming to live in as many countries as possible before I get wrangled into "real life". I enjoy broadening and expanding of all kinds (my mind, my perspective, my belly) and am known to happily embrace anything new as long as it's not spikey or sticky. I've spent a few years in Asia and am now trying out the European side of the world and finding it friendly...if not a bit cold. Meeting people is one of my favorite things to do besides reading, eating and watching movies (or all 3 at once if I have subtitles and popcorn). Ok, is that "all about me" well, probably not, but it's enough for now
PHILOSOPHY
It's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like showing people around and unveiling my favorite nooks of my favorite cities. I can tell you anything you want to know about Kansas City, Utrecht Holland or Seoul Korea (random I know, but true) I don't have a couch at the moment but if you're near Utrecht where I currently live I'd be happy to meet up.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly advising visitors to Seoul.
Interests
Mediterranean Food, Red wine, books *currently reading Kite Runner, Cloud Atlas, Kafka on the Shore and lots and lots of journal articles for my MA. I love music festivals (FUJI ROCK!) and am particularly enamored with small live venues.

Music, Movies, and Books
Generally I don't like trying to list my loves...but for the sake of argument here's what's on my iPod most listened to: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Modest Mouse, The Shins, Wolf Parade, Bright Eyes, Wilco, Muse, Deathcab, The Decemberists. Movies include generally anything by Tim Burton, but I like too many to be too specific. Books, depends on what my friends will loan me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stories like this cannot be condensed onto a profile box
Teach, Learn, Share
I studied Religion (cultural not theological) and am currently pursuing a degree in conflict studies and Human Rights. I know lots and lots about teaching small Korean kids in the ways of the English. I like to share my views on the increasing porous boundaries between cultures and what that means for how "we" define "ourselves"...if that sounds too heady, I also love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Cambodia, China, Denmark, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, North Korea, Portugal, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Viet Nam
