Overview
About Me
I'm an Irish student, back in Galway after a year working in Spain.
My main philosophy in life at the moment is that it's always better to do things than to not do things, to say yes to the experiences that are constantly presenting themselves. Live truly, honestly and positively.
I'll always be respectful of peoples' homes, and will make sure to leave everything as I find it, if not better.. I'd love to help out in any way I can!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It seems like a great way of meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I want to surf and to host! I would love to show people round Galway.
Interests
HENNA and facepaint and festival fun.
Drawing, painting, photography, listening to music (especially live), reading books (and comics) and falling off my skateboard. I also love cooking (I'm a vegetarian), eating, drinking, doing things in the sun, staying out until it gets light again, having honest conversations with people and doing my best to experience life as thoroughly and authentically as I can while growing and learning all the time.
I like cats and libraries.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I like a wide variety... Some of my favourites are Fat Freddy's Drop, The Cat Empire, Sóley, Gorillaz, Bon Iver, Tame Impala, Kendrick Lamar, The XX, XXYYXX, Pacha Massive, Hilltop Hoods, Jurassic 5, Dub FX, The Beatles, Florence and the Machine, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Rebelution, Bob Marley, Scars on Broadway, Chet Faker, Parov Stelar. And more. Techno, specifically acid techno, has a special place in my heart, and I love some banging DnB. Also recently have been listening to a bunch of reggae dnb, and of course I also like reggae..
Anyway, I may have gotten a little carried away there... So, movies. A few I really enjoyed - V for Vendetta, The Breakfast Club, Trainspotting, Fight Club, but mostly I watch anything sci-fi or fantasy related. Star Warsssss! Also animated stuff, liked How To Train Your Dragon a lot, and Big Hero 6, and Studio Ghibli stuff to, Princess Mononoke is one of my favourites. I adore cartoons like Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Avatar: TLA and more.
Books - I have always been an avid reader. Scifi and fantasy make up the majority of my reading materials. Terry Pratchett is my absolute favourite author ever - I love him completely.
Other books that stick out to me now: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Trainspotting (Welsh's books are an experience), 1984, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Magician, Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels (they're incredible). And so much more, I have read far too many books (and yet, not enough).
