About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently roadtripping around western Canada and US with my lover Michael. Living day by day, paying attention to the people and things that surround me, be free

ABOUT ME

Smily, very open-minded and passionate person, exploring the world and looking forward for living meaningful experiences and meeting passionate people. I believe that I am a very curious living being, curious to learn about people, cultures, living creatures, ecosystems, and ways humans may harmoniously integrate themselves with the rest of the Natural World. I am a trained restoration ecologist, environmental scientist and arborist.

I love mushroom picking. I love dancing with my eyes closed on tribal music, bare foot. Really getting into contact improvisation. I love hugs, long lasting ones. I love the contrast of green leaves against the blue sky. I love nudist beaches. I give and receive love easily. I see the good in people and get amazed by little things. I love plants and soil, and growing food.

I am entering a new chapter in my life, as my partner and I are moving out of our beloved place in the Comox Valley. I will be nomadic for some time, and after a season of tree planting in the Kootenays and bioengineering on Vancouver Island, I'm going to focus in participating in projects that relating to soil restoration, agroforestry, permaculture, and perennial food systems. Where and how this will take form remains to be determined, but I am quite excited.

PHILOSOPHY

Listening to my instinct, living in coherence with my values while remaining open minded and allowing these values to be altered by significant encounters, experiences and learnings. Not judging people and seeing the good in them. Living a materialistically simple life, but rich in community interactions with fellow humans and other creatures. Always giving a chance. Doing things I enjoy. A quote I love: "Don't ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes ou come alive, because what the world needs is people who are alive"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hugged the biggest Western Red Cedar in BC (supposedly), in Bella Coola. Grew food in what used to be an urban waste land, downtown Montreal. Transformed my lawn-covered front yard in a food jungle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I may teach some stuff about mushroom picking and identification, plant identification, soil science and food growing, but I may be especially ale to share my passion for them, and more generally of nature's wonders. I am definitely able to share my positive energy. I may teach how to make delicious home made pizza, as well as tying a few very useful knots. I can't say exactly what I want to learn because I don't know about it yet. I have a definitely an interest for yoga and meditation techniques that I would like to deepen, as well as my comprehension of ecosystems. Always looking forward to learn new recipes. Want to learn so much more about creative ways of producing food in cities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of smiles, some good food (perhaps home made pizza), massages, some mushroom and plant lessons, companionship to go out dancing!
