About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To appreciate all the cultures and sub-cultures of the cities we are about to travel to, and have a great time with great people we hope to meet!
ABOUT ME
My name is Sera. I am from Richmond Virginia, where I work for a non-profit that houses families with children in the hospital and am a bicycle mechanic in my free time. I have a degree in sociology and am studying welding. I hope to build bike frames one day.
I love sociology, philosophy and language. I am interested in human rights and the environment all across the globe. I also love cooking, writing, reading philosophy, history, science fiction, and playing the piano and the ukulele. My partner and I are traveling through Europe to visit family and experience different places.
We want to learn as much as possible, history, skills, language, any stories you have to tell us.
PHILOSOPHY
Cat's meow!
To take everything you can be taught and make it your own in a reflection of your life experience, positive or negative, so that everything you produce is a reflection of the beauty within you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing right now, hosting again in the winter!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love to show others around Richmond, it often takes having lived in a place to really know what kind of experiences and struggles there are. Traveling across the United States was the best experience I had with couch surfing, meeting people from all kinds of small towns and getting to experience their life with them for a few days. I hope to do more of this!
Interests
Playing folk music on the ukulele and washboard, working on bikes, learning the people's history and struggle in the world, vegetarian food.
