Hello I am Serafeim! I love new experiences, constantly on the move, huge lust for learning and teaching, thrilled by meeting new people / cultures and I am a very happy and positive person :)

Currently I'm on my final years of studying Electrical and Computer Engineering in Athens Greece, although I have lots of other interests so I don't know exactly what I will be doing in 5 years from now.

I am also a professional Photographer and Filmmaker, the reason I love it is because it has given me the chance to try new experiences get out of my comfort zone and share those experiences with other people.

Furthermore I am a member of a student organization called EESTEC where I am still an active member. Through the organization I had the unique opportunity to meet many people from many countries around Europe, host them and also show them around my own city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned on my "About" section I believe life is empty without travel and meeting new people. Sure a hotel room is fine and provides comfort but you remain a "Tourist" in the city you're visiting. I would much rather see the place from the eyes of a local than a tour guide.

Furthermore being a member of a European student organization I was already "practicing" couchsurfing without having an official account so I am already very well accustomed with the concept :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Huge fan of Soundtracks especially from movies I love such as Star Wars, LOTR, and pretty much anything John Williams has composed. Lately I am into classical music and my favorite composers are Beethoven, Bach and I have barely scratched the surface of Mozart :p I also like Rock music and Classical Rock. Depending on the occasion though I would listen to a variety of genres.

Movies: I can't stress this enough, lets just say that I have seen a ton of movies and my watch list is even larger. I like to follow directors and their work, some of my favorite directors are: Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorcese, Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino , Christopher Nolan and David Fincher.

Books: Science fiction, History, Anything by JRR Tolkien, Physics, Economics, Filmmaking / Directing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organized the biggest student voluntary project in Greece, which helped tackle youth unemployment. The project was a job-fair where more than 2K students visited and more than 4K interviews took place.

Teach, Learn, Share

My interests are spread on a vast spectrum, so I will try to keep it concise.

I am a soft skills trainer where i deliver "interactive seminars" on various subjects such as Body Language, Presentation Skills, Team Building, Leadership etc (check Soft Skills for more) I have more than 130 hours of delivery to more than 400 participants in total. So in case anyone is in need for an express lesson I would be more than glad to abide :)

Creative wise I can teach you Photography, Filmmaking and some basics of Directing. I have also delivered lessons online so I am accustomed :) Software based I can handle perfectly Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere since I use them constantly. I have just started learning learnign After Effects.

Being an engineering student I can handle Math and Physics quite well so in case you may need anything for school or first classes of college I could be of assistance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, Pictures lots and lots of movies, YouTube videos :p and anything related with going out walking and drinking :D especially beer, I love beer and good company.
