PHILOSOPHY

Humanist, be good to people, people will be good to you, and learn how to co-exist despite differences, we are all unique . Most importantly, do the things that make you happy as often as you can.

Interests

Always down to nerd-out on education! I also enjoy rock music, playing rugby and video games, I'm always up for new experiences, either be it activities, cultural events, food etc

Although not many are eager to discuss these topics, I like talking about politics, religion, history, culture and philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

mainly 80s heavy metal, classical rock, blues, classical music and bits and pieces from different genres.

If the movie is good, I enjoy it regardless of genre, some movies I like are: The Game, Fight Club, Silence of the Lambs, Forrest Gump, these are only to name a few, there are a lot more I can't remember now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Took part in the Libyan revolution (2011) and worked as a reporter through-out

-Played for the national rugby team for my country

-Visited Jimi Hendrix's house in London!

-Worked in weapons counter-proliferation program in Libyan, meaning I've met and interacted with all layers of government and also met the worst of militias, warlords and weapon traders in an effort to stop the war.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ask me about rugby, Libya, Benghazi, wartime journalism, religion in north Africa, rock music and the intricacies of educational reform in post conflict countries!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you Arabic phrases and words, both standard Arabic or Libyan Arabic. If you're an Arabic learner I can converse with you.
