About Me
CURRENT MISSION
challenging what I think I know about the world
ABOUT ME
I'm a shy, quiet guy, and I'd rather spend my time home reading than out partying, but somewhere along the line, I caught the travel bug, and now going new places and trying new things is one of my biggest passions. I may be an introvert, but meeting new people is always a happy experience.
Currently in transition from teaching English in rural Japan to finding a job in beautiful Portland, Maine.
PHILOSOPHY
Summing it up briefly, I'd say "Try something new!" I think Einstein says it better, though: "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have stayed a few nights with Couchsurfers in Korea, but haven't had the opportunity to host yet (mostly due to unfortunate timing). Looking to become more involved in hosting and surfing as opportunities arrive!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Went on a bicycle trip from Daejeon to Busan, South Korea (about 500 km). Took me a week, stayed with Couchsurfers basically the whole way. Everyone I met was incredibly kind and hospitable, and I really wish I could have stayed with them longer.
