About Me

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to Couchsurfing. :)

I currently work as an occupational therapist and also have experience as a TESOL-certified English teacher. I have a genuine passion for folk dances and love sharing that by occasionally teaching dance to various groups. One of my favorite things to do is go for walks in nature, and I'm always on the lookout for new trails. I also enjoy diving into books and articles about different cultures and learning new languages, which really helps me appreciate our diverse world. Cooking is another big passion of mine, and I love experimenting with different dishes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Here is a friendlier version of your description:

I'm on Couchsurfing because I have a deep passion for exploring and living life to the fullest. As an occupational therapist and English teacher, I love connecting with people from different backgrounds. I enjoy sharing and learning about various cultures, whether it's through teaching folk dances or cooking traditional dishes in the kitchen.

Hope Couchsurfing can give me the perfect chance to dive into new environments, meet amazing people, and exchange cultural experiences. Whether it's practicing a new language, learning local traditions from a host family, or just enjoying a walk in nature, I believe every encounter makes my life richer. My goal is to embrace every opportunity to learn, teach, and live vibrantly, making the most of every moment

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a diverse taste in music, but I particularly enjoy rock and folk music from various cultures. I love Armenian, Georgian, and Greek songs—the rhythms and stories in folk music really resonate with my passion for dance and cultural exploration. I also appreciate the timeless beauty of classical music.

I love movies that offer deep insights into different cultures and human experiences. Some of my favorites include "Chungking Express," "Cinema Paradiso," which beautifully portrays the power of cinema and community, and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," which inspires me to embrace adventure and step out of my comfort zone. I also enjoy documentaries that provide a deeper understanding of our world.

I'm an avid reader with a keen interest in books about different cultures and human psychology. Some of my favorite reads include "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari, which offers a fascinating perspective on the history of our species, and "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, a timeless tale about following one's dreams. I also enjoy novels by authors like Haruki Murakami, who blend the surreal with the everyday in captivating ways

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18, I made the bold decision to move to Ukraine alone and live there for almost a year. During this time, I embraced the challenges and adventures of living in a new country. I experienced different living arrangements, from staying in a hostel and an apartment to living with a host family for a short period. This journey not only allowed me to immerse myself in a new culture and language but also taught me valuable life skills and independence. It was an incredible experience that broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for diverse cultures.

Teach, Learn, Share

Here is a friendlier and funnier version of your description:

I can teach English and have a blast doing it! I also have a passion for folk dances and would love to share and teach you some traditional moves from different cultures—get ready to dance! With my experience as an occupational therapist, I can share some cool insights and techniques from that field too. Plus, I can whip up some delicious Turkish and Tatar dishes; let’s cook up a storm together!

I'm super into East Asian culture and their languages. We could chat about it for hours or even learn how to write in Chinese together. It’s going to be a lot of fun!! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help improve your English through conversation practice. I'm passionate about traditional folk dances and would love to teach you some from various cultures. With my background as an occupational therapist, I can share helpful insights and techniques. I also enjoy cooking and can introduce you to delicious Turkish and Tatar cuisine. Additionally, I have an intermediate level of Chinese and would be happy to practice or share my knowledge. I'm always excited to exchange stories and experiences about different cultures and our diverse world.
