Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In short: I want to travel and meet peculiar people as I go, and hopefully learn lots!

Ever since I was a young child I loved to learn, observe, and listen to the stories from the elderly people in my small town. I would hear wonderful stories full of peculiar people, `incredible places, and what could only be described as magic! However all of these tales would end with the same sad ending of "what once was", "who I used to be" and "enjoy it while it last". It was that moment of utter complacency in letting the marvelous stay in the past that set me on the path of travel. I don't mean a vacation here and there, or a year abroad, or even five years of getting to the very last penny of my savings. I want explore this wide world and never stop. I do not wish to be 50 with a nice house and nice things and nice children yearning for the magical life I once lived. I want to roam, wander, get lost and be found by something splendorous. I want to be stupid and be scrutinized. I want to listen and take in the stories, food, adventure, and culture that like minded people have to share. If I am to be remembered at all I hope it is by the bright spots I leave in the kind people I meet and sensational stories of who she was until the end!

I want to connect with people with this same admiration for the beautiful world we get to inhabit and appreciate the world how we have come to build communities across it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide range of interest and enjoy all genres of movies, music, and books! also known as I can't pick a favorite!

Some of my top movies include Broadway Danny Rose, Ratatouille, Serendipity, Twilight, After Hours (I will watch them with you! and try not to recite the movie the whole time...)

Growing up I was always the book worm but stuck mostly to vampire romance novels. Now as I age I am diversifying my reading and always taking recommendations. Currently into sci-fi and fantasy but would never say no to a classic romance.

I used to take dance classes with an incredibly talented Ukrainian couple and retained non of the years worth of classes so now I enjoy poorly dancing to whatever music is put on for me :)
