ABOUT ME

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my bachelors in psychology. Then I went and participated in the Disney College Program for 5 months in Florida. (Yes, I love Disney and am ok with admitting that :-p) Worked as a full time nanny for four years after that taking care of four AMAZING children! For the past 3 years I've worked in property management and am currently an assistant community manager at a property here in Austin. Still deciding where I want my career to go and life to take me but I'm enjoying life in the mean time and meeting new people along the way. I feel like I get along with and find some common ground with all different types of people. I'm very friendly and love hearing about people's lives and stories. I like to try new things and I love new experiences. I love learning from people and I want to have as many experiences and learn as much as I can while I'm here. I always do my best to make everyone feel included and I'm very open minded. I'm the kind of person you could tell anything to without feeling judged. I love to go out and do things but I also don't mind nights in just hanging out and relaxing. I'm a happy, loving, fun, laid back person looking to meet new people and experience all this beautiful world has to offer us. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed only twice so far but they were great experiences. Have hosted many times at my home and have loved it. I've been to a few meet ups while traveling as well. Would also love to surf again whenever I travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some truly amazing people through couchsurfing. I think it is such a wonderful concept that really allows people to reach out to and connect with people you otherwise probably wouldn't have been lucky enough to meet. There is something really amazing about opening up your home to a stranger and helping out someone without expecting anything back in return.

Interests

I absolutely love everything about music. I love getting lost in music, going to concerts, and I enjoy singing and playing the piano. I really enjoy traveling and seeing new places and cultures. I have a very long list of all the places I want to visit! I enjoy doing things outside like hiking, camping, playing disc golf, playing tennis, and so on. I also really enjoy crafts and making things for people. I love reading, watching a good movie, game nights, going out for drinks, and hanging out with friends. I enjoy talking to people and doing little things for people to make their day a little better. I think we should all focus on helping out other people more and getting to know more about people from different backgrounds other than our own.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music varies greatly...I like indie, rock, 80s music, musical soundtracks, dubstep, pop. I'm all over the place. Some bands I enjoy listening to are Copeland, Lydia, Bleachers, Jr Jr, A Day to Remember, Electric President, MGMT, Thrice, Portugal The Man, Wildcat Wildcat, Chvrches, Miike Snow, The Avett Brothers, Brand New, Phoenix, Deftones, Blue October, The Beatles, Claude Vonstroke, Bassnectar, and way too many more to name. I like watching movies...enjoy so many but a few favorites are Moulin Rouge, Donnie Darko, Beauty and the Beast, Big Fish, Garden State, Love Actually, and so many others. Shows: Breaking Bad, The Dark, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Westworld, Workaholics, Rick and Morty, Shameless, the list goes on. I love reading. Some of my favorite books are The Sirens of Titan, A Clockwork Orange, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Harry Potter series, and many others.
