About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for new sounds, visiting beautiful places and meeting nice people

ABOUT ME

In my opinion, the best way to discover a country is with its local people. Therefore, I've always visited friends abroad or tried to meet locals on my journeys around the world.

I grew up in Berlin, the capital of Germany, a city that was split in half for forty years in the last century by a wall preventing the inhabitants from traveling. Luckily the protest grew so strong the politicians had to give in.

This historical background and my natural curiosity are reasons why I began going to far away places at an early age and I am still eager to discover foreign countries. On the other hand I am always happy to host people in my own hometown.

I have shared my apartment with students from different origins during my university time and enjoyed living with people of other cultures. Just by talking & cooking together you can learn so much.

PHILOSOPHY

Replace fear of the unknown with curiosity

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted couchsurfers in Berkley & Berlin.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time in South America in winter 2010/11. It was great to find people with similar interests to mine who are kind enough to share their houses & proud to show their home to strangers.

Interests

My biggest interest apart from traveling is music. I have been collecting songs and djing for many years now and I'm always looking for new sounds wherever I go.
