Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not so long ago some of my friends told me about Couchsurfing. I got really interested in this concept - staying and communicating with real people instead of living in a hotel or hostel. I think this is a unique opportunity to meet new friends and learn things about new countries/cities that I wouldn't be able to learn otherwise.

Interests

I'm interested in science fiction, science (especially physics, astronomy and other space and reality related stuff), computer and board games, travel, hiking in the mountains. Recently I've started to do some yoga and meditation and I find it really exciting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like heavy music, mostly progressive rock and metal. That said, I enjoy listening to talented musicians regardless of their style.
I don't watch movies that often, but my all time favorite is Lord of the Rings trilogy.
It is difficult to name some favorite books. Here are some I've read recently: Blindsight by Peter Watts, The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, and A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Right now I'm reading Search Inside Yourself by Chade-Meng Tan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couple of years ago I've climbed mount Rysy, which is the highest mountain in Poland. It was a great experience and one thing that got me into hiking in mountains.
