ABOUT ME

I'm a single portuguese guy, the younger, smarter and prettier of three brothers :)
Lived in Lisbon since 18 and returned my home city just some months ago after finishing medical school and residency.
I'm settling down for a while now but been thinking of working abroad to learn more and see the world.
I work a lot. So much that sometimes I forget I have my own life to live, and travelling takes me out of this for some days. Working on a permanent solution to that.
Love coffee :)

PHILOSOPHY

Don't make too many plans for your life - life is short and tomorrow you may change ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Travelling is much more than sightseeing, museums, monuments and travel guides. Since I started travelling, almost 15 years ago, the places I liked most were the ones in which I had a local friend or where I met local people. Besides living there, that's the only way to really "feel" the city and take the best of each place. On the other hand, I've often been surprised by people from abroad (mostly Erasmus students) that show me new things around. Everyone benefits!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None until now as I've been out.
Hope to have some more time from now on to host and travel/be hosted

Interests

Travel
Do nothing on the beach (just stand there, you see?)
Watch as much movies as I can
Support my soccer club, the glorious Benfica
Listen to jazz and bossanova
Custom motorcycles (on my way to the HD world)

Ok, I'm allways complaining but... I love my job :)

Movies: La vita e bella, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Book? What the hell is a book?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved some lifes (sounds amazing, huh?)
Worked for some months in Africa

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure if I can teach you something by now, unless you have a particular interest in medicine or international volunteering

I can make a stake with chips but I really wanna learn to cook. As I have a little bit more time from now on, I would like to learn to play guitar and the piano, to surf and some motorcycle mechanics

As a spanish girl onde told me "compartir es vivir!" (sharing is living)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really want to spend some time with my hosts and show them all around. As I spend a lot of time working don't expect me to host just "anyone": tell me when you're coming and leaving so I can see if I'm available. You can also just call me if you're around staying with someone else and just want me to show you the city or to have a drink. I can drive you around if I have a day off and I'm in the mood :)

Things around here are awesome in Spring/Summer (May-September), but there's good weather all year. I rather have someone who stays for a week, but make me know if you wanna stay less or longer.

I have a room with a single bed, a sponge mattress and some blankets. There's a supermarket nearby.
