Chi sono

I'm an architect.
I'm from the mexican pacific coast. I love photography, and languages. I speak Spanish, English, sometimes French and a Little bit of Italian.

I colaborated with the tourism office in my state with photos and I travel a lot to a native comunity in Mexico. That's something I really love a lot cause I've learned a little of a mexican native language (Náhuatl) , and I'm very into that culture right now.

You can check my IG: sergiogmeza , and see my state through my photos. (Mostly for tourism motives) 😊

I loved to travel by my own, I did that all the time in MX. That gave me a lot of experiences and friends. Meeting local people brings you at different panorama of the city life, the real culture is through their eyes :)

Currently a little bit attached by my job, I’ve just finish my university one year ago and I left my hometown and Guadalajara to be an architect in Playa del Carmen.
I’m practically new in this city but I’ve met some cool spots. I’m really interested in meeting new people and discover this city together.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

Because I would like to meet people all around the world. I love languages so I would like to improve all of the ones I've learned and in the future learn more!. I had a lot of exchange friends at my University, and to share experiences with them made me change my mind of the culture clichés.

I used this app before the pandemia and I’ve met really cool people, a lot of good experiences, a lot of good friends and just want to continue my travel.

I think I was doing Couchsurfing since I was a teenager because I've met a lot of people all arround my country and world and I love to visit them and invite them to visit me, and I was in a program at my school that each six months i receive one exchange studen't its first days at my country to get used to the city and stuff.

Musica, film e libri

MUSIC :

I love all kind of music, I grew up listening Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Cranberries etc. (Because my mother)
I like reggeton as well but just for dancing.
I love Shakira. (The old ones and only in spanish, if you don't know them I can show you cuz she used to play rock in spanish at the 90's),
I love Spanish rock and Spanish pop too, pretty much stocked in the 2000’s and 90s music.
I’ve been just in two concerts in my life, Adele in Mexico City and Requin Chagrin in Rouen, France.
My spotify is kinda multicultural too, from mexican music (banda) to electro, rock and rock alternative, pop, French rock-indie, house music and jazz.

MOVIES: All kind with good photography.

Right now I’m very captured by a lot of series, house of the dragon my top 1, and I watched the whole game of thrones saga one week before HOTD was realised.
Currently watching shameless, and I’m always watching random episodes from sex and the city, cuz I need to learn from carrie’s mistakes. 🤫🤣
I’ve been watching The Crown since the first season, completely obsessed with it.

I like to see each year the selection of the cinema festival of cannes, in my Country, but this year I failed cuz my job.

My favorite photographer is Graciela Iturbide. And her teacher Manuel Alvarez Bravo.
I love documental photography and I enjoy a lot to see old photos of the world in general. :)

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I was so close to a wild cocodrile, I took a photo and I won a National Geographic photography contest. (Real)

Moi, a beach boy lived and conquered a cold city in La Normandie, France.

I swam in the sea, and the last time a kick one rock and I got chopped by a sea urchin, I had the stick for two weeks until I realized I had them and I picked up them. (That's no awesome but it's funny, isn’t it?)
