About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Achive mental, spiritual, and material enrichment to enjoy my life with others

ABOUT ME

Experiencing a spiritual war against pessimism and routine. Trying to be humble and walking in the shoes of my neighbor. I work as an assistant professor in Econometrics at USFQ.

PHILOSOPHY

-Protect your happiness, don't let the negative win.
-The comparison is not between but within.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: (Autors mainly) Bukowski, Palahniuk, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Talesse, Wolfe, Capote, Kerouac, Burroughs, Welsh, and all the Latin American Boom: Vargas Llosa, Garcia Marquez, Borges, Sábato.

Music: All (except mainstream pop music), with strict preference for Jazz (bebop, hardbop, cool) Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Charlie Parker, Soul, R&B, reggae, drum and bass, dubstep, ska and of course the good old Salsa (but the Newyorican one, the dirty salsa!)

Currently I am hooked with good techno and deep house :)

Movies (Directors): Coppola, Fincher, Stone, Aronofsky, I used to liked Tarantino, but my preferences have changed a little bit. The Cohen Brothers are the best! (you can call me dude, your dudeness, or duderino ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, right now I am planning to run a Marathon, so training for that is something amazing. Let´s hope I will be successful on such endeavour.

Teach, Learn, Share

oh yes!

There are worse things than
being alone
but it often takes decades
to realize this
and most often
when you do
it's too late
and there is nothing worse
than
too late

Charles Bukowski
