About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Now that I am retired and have all the free time I had always dreamed of ( and specially because I enjoy excelent health and fitness ) I want to make up for the time I spent building a career and raising a family : travel a lot and get to know new places and/or revisit some others in order to meet people and get to know the whole world.

ABOUT ME

I am a 70-year-old retired economist, sociologist and foreing trade manager. I have four grown up children and 4 grandchildren. I live on my own in a 3-bedron apartment.

PHILOSOPHY

The older I get the more I know about me and the world and the more commited I get to a better, safer and happier planet.

Music, Movies, and Books

European movies, specially french, Asian-directors movies, some good american directos. I listen to lots of jazz and classical music and I also enjoy discomusic and rock-n-roll. I read classical and modern literature ( right now I'am reading again Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse and "Thus Spoke Zaratustra" by Nietzsche ). I also enjoy reading biographies of world leaders and books about politics. One of them is Catherine the Great- Portrati of a Woman, by Robert Messy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for some time in the Amazon Rain Forest in Brazil; I climbed up a snowy mountain in the Rochky Mountains in Canada; I rode a camel and spent the night stargazing in a Berber Camp , in the Sahara Desert; and something that had always been in my bucket list : The Transiberian. I did it, all the way from Beijing to Moscow, hopping on and hopping off along its nine thousand kilometers through China, Mongolia and Siberia, for 25 days.
