About Me
-Not accepting guests right now because I'm currently surfing european couches-
I had the opportunity to grow up in a family that enjoys traveling but we didn't always have the means to go abroad, so my growing up years were spent camping, fishing, swimming and relaxing in a hammock in the most beautiful places you can imagine in our amazing Colombia.
Since then, I developed plenty of skills for DIY projects. I would call myself a very handy person, with great abilities in arts and crafts, fixing broken stuff, and improving over old things. I love working with my hands and finding creative ways of solving problems with the tools I can easily find in my surroundings.
This turned into a strong sense of traveling outdoors, camping, discovering new places and spending numerous nights glancing at the night sky from a campfire, a hammock, a pool, the roof of a car...
I studied advertising and marketing but I have aways been drawn into photography. Currently I work on a couple of projects as a consultor in digital marketing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Close friends that are part of the couchsurfing community recommended this as a perfect way of traveling and meeting locals.
I see it not only as a way to meet people, but also a way to enable local hosts to be able to tell the story of their cities and towns in a way that no tourism agency could. I'm not the kind of traveler that would stand in line for hours to visit a crowded place, I prefer walking around on the less touristy and therefore less busy paths, and I have found they often will give you a way better experience and a deeper understanding of the places you visit.
I want to take full advantage of the time I still have. I want to travel around, discover new places and learn from everything I can while giving back from the things that I know and the experiences I can share.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music depends on the mood, there's a tune for every feeling. I usually go for Rock, tending to some heavy stuff. I enjoy electronic music as well, reggae and Jazz are very relaxing and enjoyable. Latin music every now and then can make home feel a lot closer.
Love watching movies of any kind, from meaningless action movies to deep documentaries. I really enjoyed Interstellar, Big Fish, Harry Potter, LOTR and many more.
I enjoy reading although I don't do it as often as I wish I would.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I chose traveling and enjoying over having a steady job and a monthly income (that's the plan, for now). I think not many people would leave their comfort zone easily and I recognize it is not easy to do, but I have found it very rewarding and character-building.
Sadly, every day that goes through, our world becomes crazier. Not knowing what can happen with time, I prefer to take advantage of the present and make as much out of it as possible. It's not about "only living once", it's about making sure that every night you go to bed you can feel proud of who you are and make sure that if something were to happen, you have taken advantage not only of the opportunities that have presented themselves to you, but also of those that you have been working hard to build.
