About Me

I'm a colombian traveller, currently touring Siberia and Asia with a friend. After living, studying and working in Europe for over two years, this is my current adventure. Love reading, seeing new cultures and exploring new countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couch surfing in Russia, where me and my friend stayed with three different guests in three different cities. It was an amazing experience, each one of them was keen to share their worldview and city with us.
I'm here mainly to explore the world with the locals, to make meaningful connections and friends. As soon as I'm home I'll make sure to be a host and keep on learning as much as possible from travellers.

Interests

Literature, poetry and history. Travels and photography, chemistry, physics and biology. Botanics and sustainability. Linguistics, and learning new languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Two trilogies changed me when I was growing up, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman and La Saga de los Confines by argentine Liliana Bodoc. Milan Kundera and Ernest Hemingway have had great influence over me. I enjoyed Tolstoy's and Tolkien's books very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode horses along the mongolian steppe and lived with the nomads. I travelled the transsiberian railway. I backpacked extensively through Europe, lived in Germany when I was fifteen, lived in Nantes, Saint Étienne and Blois. I worked in the biggest shampoo factory in Europe as a process engineer and then developed new products for one of the biggest multinational companies in Brussels, where I lived for 6 months. I did a road trip through the Netherlands, spent a summer visiting the Loire castles, toured Belgium and France, and visited Italy, Spain and Portugal. I did tours of the Nordic countries in ferries and visited the Baltic nations. Spent days in Reykjavik learning as much as possible of Iceland. Went to the beautiful capitals of Hungary,Poland and the Czech Republic. Saw the Volga, the Angara, the Mekong, and slept surrounded by the waters of the Baikal. I had a snow battle on top of the Great Chinese Wall. I toured the Indochina peninsula, visiting Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. I lived in an Ashram Farm in eastern Thailand, meditating and caring for the land.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn as much as possible. History, politics, and languages are the main cultural interests I have. Seeing the natural beauty of a land and sharing with the local communities have been the most rewarding experiences of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, and my interest to hear theirs. I can teach you a thing or two about Colombia, my homeland that I love. We can dance, chat and exchange travelling tips.
