ABOUT ME
Hi my new friend! My name is Sergio and I was born in Bogotá D.C. but I grew up in Ibague a small city 3 hours away from the capital. I am not a career-driven person. Even though I thrive for knowledge and like to engage in philosophical thinking, my main purpose is more self-developmental rather than pursuing a career. I am living as a nomad now for a couple of months while I go to Australia to study Project management. I was previously living in Thailand where I took my dive master course and I lived in Los Angeles for about 3 years where I improved my English and some other skills. I am Funny, adventurer and positive. I love the outdoor activities. I love to travel, I am honest, loyal and open minded
Shy and introvert at first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS in 2.014 before doing my first trip to Lancaster, PA. I was going to take a course for about 3 weeks in a small village called Lititz and the cost of the accommodation was very high and also I did not know anyone there. Then, my friend told me about this site so I gave it a shot and that's where everything started.
After my first experience of being hosted by a local person, I started to research more about the main idea of the CS and I got fascinated about meeting and staying with friendly local people who are willing to share their culture, knowledge, places, food, customs, etc with others.
I started to join local meeting, I met many local Couschsurfers and travelers, they showed me so many possibilities and opportunities I wouldn't even dream about.
I haven't oficcially hosted a Couchsurfer yet. One day, I will be on the other side and offer my couch even my own bed to help make a stranger's day. Karma Happens!
Interests
Well, I worked for theater and live entertainment for about 10 years and I really loved that. Now I want to explore more into the sports and traveling since I learned surfing in LA and after the scuba diving in Thailand. Also I really enjoy reading and attending to plays and musicals when I have the opportunity. My newly found passion is hiking and I have been hiking in most of the countries that I have visited so far. Nowadays, It is very important for me to go to the nature and spend long time there doing long walks.
