About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"There's a common belief among anthropologists that you must immerse yourself in an unfamiliar world in order to truly understand your own" I'll be moving to Malta for a couple of years:) Next up - BRAZIL!!! and the football WC 2014 - lifetime dream!"
Looking at the above ... a lot past since :) 6 years in Bucharest with a lot of travelling too, Japan, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Turkey, yet it never gets old. I still love the CS spirit
ABOUT ME
Hard to say,but let's say easy going, open minded with a great desire of meeting new people, interesting places, and different cultures in the most relaxed way possible:)
More live and on demand:)
And no, I'm not a party animal,I go clubbing every year or so not night or so, so please don't send me requests that you're coming to Malta, Romania, Mars or wherever I'll be moving to party and get drunk all your stay, I'm not your person for that.
If you wanna do these kind of things on the other hand - I'm in :)
CHAPADA DIAMANTINA-CACHOEIRA DA FUMACA-unbelievable feeling!

PHILOSOPHY
Live life as much as you can and try to feed yourself with experiences and lots of smiles, they're a hell of a lot better than any food :)

Music, Movies, and Books
There are too many good movies I've seen but A beautiful mind is by far my favorite, the Painted Veil comes close after it:). I prefer movies with a story, from which you can actually learn something, rather than action/horror movies, movies that you can remember in years - revolutionary ideas like The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.
A movie that also impressed me a lot is La vita è bella, history drama in Italy -definetely worth seeing.
I can also recommend a great romanian movie - Filantropica.
I generally listen to good old rock ballads:), bands like Beatles, Queen, Scorpions,Dire Straits ACDC,Guns&roses, etc, but not only, also RHCP, Matchbox20, Hozier, Coldplay,Simon & Garfunkle, REM and lots of others. I like reggae - Bob Marley especially, jazz, etc. I'm also very open to traditional music of any specific country I visit
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing is just another relative term.
I've been to a lot of interesting places, I can mention Kill Devil Hills - North Carolina - the birthplace of aviation, Wright brothers memorial - the place Orville and Wilbur Wright first flew, that was important for me since my dad is a former romanian helicopter pilot.
Also - Ocna Sibiu - the most saltest lake in Europe was a blast - 80m of water below you and you can swim without moving a finger:) - just like Freddie said - "floating around in ecstasy:)"
Another thing that changed me in a great deal was spending a week in a camp for kids with auditory implants (from 3 months old - 13 yo), getting to know them, play along with them and teach them different things, while trying to communicate in the same time meant a lot for me and help me appreciate more the simple things we have and sometimes forget to treasure.
Most late I've managed to fulfil one of my childhood dreams, being a connecting officer between the Romanian women's handball delegation and the Organizing committee in Lyon for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament (May 2011) and this by just being a simple fan and flying all over from Malta to see the games - sometimes karma works magic :) Best weekend of my life
Brazil - Bahia - Chapada Diamantina - Cachoeira da Fumaca (Smoking Waterfall - A MA ZING! :) )

Teach, Learn, Share
The above field description reminds me of a movie:) and it's one of the greatest things I ever heard and agreed with.
"This is the beginnings of the future CouchSurfing University, a school where everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher."
I don't know :) I have a lot to offer, friends say that I'm a great psychologist, I can read people in a blink, I can listen and most of the times give a good advice. I can teach you a bit of Romanian-had some practice with my Polish,Turkish,Serbian friends thus far :)
I don't have a specific hidden talent or something:) except maybe singing some times @ karaoke:P, but I thing I can relate to anybody, anytime, anywhere :)
I'm open to learning new things.
