À propos de moi

First of all, note that I'm always online. And if I'm not online at the moment, you can be sure that I always check my mail, so I`ll see your message very soon anyway.

----------Part 1. About adventures----------

Well, I was born in Norilsk. That’s a town in the north of the country. Many years I thought that my favorite season was winter. However, after I moved to Saint-Petersburg I must say, I prefer summer or autumn. Autumn is an exceptionally wonderful time of year here, in Saint-Petersburg.

I’m trying to be in harmony with myself and with nature. What does it mean? It means to provide myself with the knowledge and care about the environment and people.

I’m interested in languages. I want to have a Proficiency level of English, and I still need to learn a lot of things to reach this goal. I’ve been learning German for some time, too.

“The adventures and journeys could give me more” – I said to myself. At one specific moment, I decided that I have to travel a lot. The first hitchhiking trip was approximately 15 years ago, and I’d tracked 2500 kilometers. You know what I like about hitchhiking? I love the pureness. Nobody pushes nobody, you just raise your hand and ask for a ride. The person behind the wheel can decide: yes or no. Just yes or no. He doesn’t need to explain this decision or try to make up some excuses to not to give you a ride. Just yes or no. It is the world of honesty. That’s why I never hold any flags or signs with the name of town when I’m hitchhiking.

I had been visiting many Russian cities and towns. I've been to China, East and West Europe. I have a dream to make a journey in the footsteps of Che Guevara. And I also had abroad tours when I had been working in the Mariinsky theater.

----------Part 2. About us----------

However, nowadays it is a bit different for me because I'm married and I've changed my job. You should be responsible for your family if you have one, and now traveling for me a bit more planned thing, if you know what I mean. My wife's name is Alexandra, and we are a friendly couple, who like sports and traveling. My wife teaches rhetoric. She also has a hobby: she is a director in a small local theater. She is well-informed about painting art and psychology. BTW, she had lived in France for half-year so she can speak French a bit.

In winter we try to visit theaters and museums of Saint-Petersburg more often. On the other hand, spring and summer is the time for a tent, forest, and the sea.

----------Part 3. A bit of philosophy and interests----------

Like everyone else we have hobbies. We like to play board games, play guitar or read something interesting. For example, we have a tradition, which called “A minute of poetry” – we are choosing some poet randomly and read his poems for a minute or two before sleeping (or just after waking). Literature is a big part of our lives.

We like to cook, and we can prepare delicious food sometimes. This food especially tasty when you eat it with some interesting story.

Sometimes, after work, I like to walk through the city. I love to go along the riverside with the cup of tea (with honey, indeed). By the way, I hope you really reading this text (it is ok not to read and just ask to host), and if you are reading, please type the word "ginger" in the message to me.

I think that the knowledge – is the primary meaning of life. I like to study, especially in history. I am particularly interested in russian history of 1917-1924 years.

----------Part 4. My motto----------

Here is a quote of Terry Gilliam - film director. He said: "If you do not create something, not trying to be useful or change something, you, presumably, dead." I totally agree.
