Hi! We’re Serhii and Anastasiia, a Ukrainian couple living in Hannover, Germany.

We’re native Ukrainian speakers, and we also speak English, German, and Russian. We really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and getting to know places through everyday local life, not just through tourist attractions.

In daily life, we’re quite active. I’m into CrossFit and HYROX, and together we regularly go to the gym. Anastasiia also dances and performs with her team in competitions and stage performances.

We both love cycling, long walks, stand-up comedy, cinema, and simple cozy evenings. We’re also very comfortable around animals and always happy to meet pets.

We’re not party people, we don’t smoke, and we usually prefer a calm, friendly atmosphere. We like good conversations, discovering new places in a more local way, and learning how other people live.

We’re on Couchsurfing because for us travelling is not only about seeing a place, but also about meeting the people who live there.

We love the idea of sharing stories, everyday moments, food, humour, and small local experiences that you would never find in a guidebook. For us, staying with someone is not just about having a place to sleep - it’s about human connection, trust, and getting to know a place in a more real way.

We also enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, learning how they see life, and sharing a bit of our own culture too. If it feels natural, we’re always happy to cook something Ukrainian, have a good conversation, or just spend a simple cozy evening together.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

We both enjoy good films with heart, humor, and memorable characters. We especially love Tom Hanks movies - they never get old for us. We also like feel-good films, true stories, dramas, and sometimes something light and funny after a long day. Our taste in Music is quite mixed. We listen to a bit of everything depending on the mood. We also really like discovering music through other people.

Starting a new life in Germany from scratch and finding our way step by step has probably been the most challenging and meaningful thing we’ve done so far.
