Обо мне

Hello! I'm Serkan from Turkey. I'm a fresh computer science graduate. If I need to explain my personality, I'm deeply concerned with the personal growth of myself and others. On the other hand I'm an nonjudgmental, introverted and quiet person. If anyone interested in MBTI personality types, I'm literally an INFP ^^

I like to improve myself by learning and producing new things. In my career I've focused on game development, I'm developing 2D-3D cross-platform games. I love programming, I generally spend my times in front of the computer >_<
In addition, I'm an amateur Japanese voice actor. As you can guess, I love animes, so the Japanese language. That's why I've been learning Japanese for 7 years and creating Japanese contents on my YouTube channel for more than 2 years for fun and improve my Japanese pronunciation.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

Well, I've never been to abroad before and it was really hard for me to do it because of my country's economy. My dream country was always Japan because I was addicted to Animes since I was a kid. I love the Japanese language, culture, lifestyle and so on. Especially, I love the Japanese pronunciation. That pushed me to learn Japanese. So, I've been learning Japanese for 7 years and doing Japanese voiceover for a few years. Just because this language seemed so cool to me. I've learned it without taking any courses and then heard about a Japanese speaking contest in my country, Turkey. I was so excited about the contest and prepared very well. I've became the third but never gave up. At the third participation, I won the contest ^^
Thanks to this contest I earned two-way flight ticket to Japan and 2 weeks of JR Pass ticket. I'm so close to my dream, I'm going to be there between 16th March and 3rd April.
More than half of my travel expenses are covered thanks to contest, however it is still expensive for me. That's why I want to meet new people in Couchsurfing and reduce my expenses by half. Also, I want to experience their culture and lifestyle first hand. If I stay at a hostel it will be expensive and I may not be able to experience good friendships and unforgetable memories.
I hope I can meet with great people in this platform ^^

Классная вещь, которую я сделал(-а)

I've started to Japanese voice acting. Thanks to this, I improved my Japanese and it's pronunciation. I was always wanted to speak like Japanese voice actors and I'm so much closer compared to three years before.

Учу, учусь, делюсь опытом и информацией

I'm an adaptive person so I don't have too much expectations from my host. It would be nice to do Japanese practice and learn their culture. I'd like to ask and learns things that I don't know about the country. Also I'd appreciate if they can guide me the city and show me their local dishes. Lastly, I'm addicted to fishing, If my host also likes fishing I'd be soo happy If I can go fishing with them.

Чем я могу поделиться с хостами

Actually I don't really know ^-^ this will be my first experience, I can say that I can adapt to any situation I think. We can do culture exchange, I can teach them Turkish. I can help with housework. May be I can teach them Japanese voice over tips or table tennis. When I turned back to home, we can spend time, I want to collect too many memories from my dream country ^^ Of course, If the host is a reserved person, it's fine I don't have any expectations as long as I'm not restricted so much ^^
