About Me

Hey there.
I'm a conference interpreter. I haven't done much travelling, but I do enjoy meeting travellers to live vicariously through them--just joking. Maybe.

I'm quite friendly, even though I'm a bit quiet. I enjoy both staying in with one or two friends or going out with a large group of people to a pub or a club.

I love to talk about music, movies or tv shows. I also enjoy reading and discussions about politics, feminism and all sorts of -isms.

I'm also gay and open about it. I live with a friend, though she is unfortunately straight. We can't host but I love to show people around this town!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like showing people why this place is so cool! Also I'm an introvert who's friends with a lot of introverts so I appreciate the change of pace.

Interests

I love music, cinema, cooking, animals and hiking. I'm always eager to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a thing for female singer-songwriters. Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Björk, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Bat for Lashes, Florence + the Machine, Fiona Apple, Ladyhawke, Lady Gaga, Feist and such.
I also listen to some other stuff like Daft Punk, Nine Inch Nails, Belle and Sebastian, Sufjan Stevens, The White Stripes, Gorillaz, or Nina Simone.

My favorite books are 1984, Animal Farm (George Orwell), Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), Rum Punch (Elmore Leonard), and La Tregua (Mario Benedetti). I also really like Neil Gaiman.

For movies, I love Woody Allen. Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, and The Purple Rose of Cairo are some of my favorite films ever.
