HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was long overdue in joining couchsurfing, but have now been somewhat active for a few years! Started hosting with roomates in San Francisco... then got to surf a couple times in Europe a few summers ago! I'm excited to stay active and get out into the world again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had some couchsurfers at our house in SF and it was awesome. I've also surfed several times myself!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In Portugal I talked some folks from a hostel into coming with me to stay at a fortress from the 1400s on an more or less uninhabited island 40 minutes off the coast. Everyone else there was an old Portuguese fisherman. We were on the roof having a couple beers, completely surrounded by the ocean when there was some cheering in a room downstairs. Upon entering, there were about 15 of the old fishermen taking turns singing amazing fado a cappella and sipping port until the wee hours of the morning.

I can teach surfing, though I'm told I'm a bad teacher because I get too excited and want to go surf myself :)
