I am 26 years old and absolutely love to explore, meet new people, and participate in fresh experiences. Music, photography, and being active are my three greatest passions, I am still trying to decide if I want to lug my guitar around with me everywhere, but that's a decision that will probably be made last minute. Guitar sessions sooth my soul, photography feeds my creative spirit, and exploration seems to tie it all together. Good times never seem too far away when beer is involved, so I am always up for good drink and great conversation. I am not too proud to make a fool out of myself from time to time and look forward to the experience that couch surfing is going to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I really want to start traveling solo and would love to experience cultures and see the world through the local's perspective. I have always been one to bring a group of friends with me when I travel, but it seems that I miss out on something when I do and I look forward to getting out of my comfort zone and meeting friendly, hospitable locals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing opportunity to help with the relief efforts in Japan after the 9.0 earthquake devastated the island. I moved to Japan in March of 2011 and within the first week of being there the earthquake happened, it was a very crazy experience, but I am so thankful I got to be a part of helping that beautiful country rebuild.
