About Me
Hello! Well, I am a Virgo, my favorite color is green, I like long walks on the...
I never know how to start these things, haha. I'll just say that I love the lighter side of life, though I am quite serious about my profession in wine as I am advancing through the Court of Master Sommeliers (so needless to say I adore wine), I am open minded and love trying out new experiences to better develop myself as a person, and travel is a bug that was set in my youth.
I have lived many places throughout the world (Tokyo, Berlin, Reykjavik) and want to keep accruing more places as I journey along. I hold respect for others as the pinnacle for my existence and hope the same of others, or at least try my best to instill that philosophy.
I try to remain very active both physically and mentally so am always down for dialogue that goes beyond the surface. I am extremely curious about those around me and find every day to be more fascinating than the last!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had never really thought this was for me until a close friend and professional comrade of mine suggested it as she took a year long hiatus travelling the world. The idea of taking up a stranger's personal space seemed like something I couldn't accept, until she asked if it was something I would do for others. Since my response was affirmative, I thought I may give it a try.
I will be travelling throughout New Zealand as I take a leave of absence from work in Chicago for three months. I plan on buying a car and making my way down to Central Otago from Auckland to endeavor the wine regions of the islands. I will be working and learning from the grape harvest and in between will be travelling to other areas so I thought this may be a great way to meet others and see how they perceive the world I'm visiting.
Above all I am compassionate and deem reciprocity as one of my most treasured aspects, so the thought of taking advantage of anyone who is this giving is something I could never accept, so please allow me to give in return weather it be to bring a bottle of wine, cook dinner, go dine somewhere, or simply drive you to places you'd like to go.

Music, Movies, and Books
They all really run the gamut but I tend towards music with thoughtful lyrics or impassioned talent, and the books I enjoy (outside of wine studies books) are more philosophical.
My favorite movie, to this date, is Amelie from Montmartre. *swoon*
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Deciding to pick up my belongings, leave my job, and travel throughout New Zealand for three months!

Teach, Learn, Share
I have many, many things still to learn, and hopefully a few many things to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A keen need to be reciprocal and always be appreciative of the things offered to me.
