About Me

I am a grassroots organizer with the Sierra Club and a self-employed leadership coach for changemakers who are ready to experience more joy in their work.

I'm a planner and a doer, but I like to go with the flow and smile a lot while I'm at it.

I spend most of my time in Baltimore City organizing communities in Baltimore to advocate for a just and equitable transition from outdated coal and gas-burning power to locally-made clean energy, but I love to travel when I can.

I am a proud dad of a dog named Riker. We both love hiking and exploring new foods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to the CS community, but I am very excited to be involved as a host and as a traveler! There is no better way to travel than to share experiences with others, and sometimes strangers make the best friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really interested in building community resilience in the face of climate change and organizing resistance to unjust power structures. I regularly teach about the challenges our society is facing with unsustainable energy consumption and fossil fuels, and I love to work with communities to advocate for solutions.

I also like to teach people how to play hand drums.

Things I would like to learn:

- How to cook different foods, and especially to bake bread.
- How to brew beer
- How to play guitar and piano
- Carpentry
- How to grow my own food
- Permaculture design
- How to build my own simple home from scratch

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share stories and good conversation, music, cooking, and two hands to clean up or do the dishes.
