About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Film and meet as many drag queens as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am a filmmaker, choreographer, theater-maker, and visual artist who recently graduated from college in Colorado. I've lived in NYC for the past year and am embarking on a summer documentary project about drag culture.

PHILOSOPHY

Never take anything for granted. Don't follow the sheep.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am using CS to travel more affordably for this project. I love meeting new people, enjoy conversation, and hearing stories. Traveling is a great passion of mine. Love learning from other people and cultures and trying new things (food!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far i've had two couch surfing experiences, and they have been great! Other than that, I've had host families in Spain before, so I guess thats kind of similar :)

Interests

I enjoy exploring, meeting new people, and creating! Experimental art, music, and performance is my passion.. anything that pushes the envelope.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently, I enjoyed Melancholia directed by Lars Von Trier as well as Tree of Life. Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind is a big fave as well as the Coen Brothers (Fargo, Burn After Reading). Im reading the unedited version of Anne Frank and am learning so much from her. I also am obsessed with Bjork.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a bunch of time in Spain, staying with a host family for 2 months, and a Spanish friend for another. I've also travelled to London, Paris, and Germany, seeing all kinds of strange theater, art, and music along the way. Some favorite moments I guess would be visiting the british museum, seeing "Einstein on the Beach" in NYC (VERY long opera by Phillip Glass, Robert Wilson, and Lucinda Childs), Standing in the lobby of the public theater in NYC with Bjork after a 10 hr show by The Nature Theater of Oklahoma, riding through the streets of Barcelona on a rented bike, eating grilled squid alone on a tiny street in Estepona, Spain while reading 1984 (so typical!! haha) ...so many things :)
