Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in college I did a little bit of hitch hiking to get to Zion in Utah and spent a few nights sharing a space with friends in the back of a truck and managed one night on a couch at some guys place in far north Arizona.

Also, back in the days of Myspace, I used to house bands with my parents for days at a time whenever they were traveling and coming through Phoenix. This was back when I used to shoot a lot of concert photography and this spread word around the traveling band community that I had a friendly place to stay. Overall, it's always been a good experience. I've only had an issue with someone staying with my family once, when I was 17 we had a band crashing for the weekend and one gentleman had quite the drug problem and my parents had to boot them because he couldn't keep the cocaine use out of the house. Bummer man.
