Why I’m on Couchsurfing

EN: As a student, I don’t have a lot of money. But that doesn’t mean I want to stop traveling or gaining new experiences. I believe that through Couchsurfing, I can meet amazing people and fill my life with experiences that money can’t buy.
Of course, I know not every person I meet will be a perfect match, but I truly believe that even those moments are valuable experiences. 🙂
In South Korea, all adult men are required to serve in the military, and I’ve already completed my service. Because of this, I’m quite used to living in groups and sharing space with others, so I think I’ll have no problem adapting to new environments.
One of my biggest goals is to grow in my language skills, so I’d love to do lots of language exchange. I’ve noticed that many people are interested in Korean culture, and while I’m not perfect, I’d be more than happy to share what I know about Korea!
And who knows—if we stay in touch and you ever come to Korea, I’d be glad to be your guide. 😊

ES:Como soy estudiante, no tengo mucho dinero. ¡Pero eso no significa que quiera dejar de viajar ni de vivir nuevas experiencias! Creo que a través de Couchsurfing puedo conocer a personas increíbles y llenar mi vida con experiencias que el dinero no puede comprar.
Por supuesto, sé que no siempre conoceré a personas con las que encaje perfectamente, pero incluso esos momentos son experiencias valiosas para mí. 🙂
En Corea del Sur, todos los hombres adultos deben cumplir con el servicio militar obligatorio, y yo ya he terminado el mío. Gracias a eso, estoy acostumbrado a la vida en grupo y a compartir espacios con otras personas, así que creo que no tendré problemas para adaptarme a nuevos entornos.
Uno de mis grandes objetivos es mejorar en los idiomas, así que me encantaría hacer muchos intercambios lingüísticos. También sé que muchas personas están interesadas en la cultura coreana, y aunque no soy perfecto, estaré encantado de compartir lo que sé sobre Corea. Y si el destino lo permite, cuando vengas a Corea, ¡me encantaría ser tu guía! 😊

Music, Movies, and Books

EN: I’m someone who absolutely loves movies. In Korea, whenever a new movie comes out—whether it’s famous or not—I usually go watch it no matter what.
I don’t really limit myself to specific genres, but my favorite genre is definitely romance.
Two romance films that left a deep impression on me are About Time and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

ES: Soy una persona que ama profundamente el cine. En Corea, cada vez que se estrena una nueva película, sin importar si es famosa o no, suelo ir a verla sí o sí.
No me limito a un solo género, pero mi favorito sin duda es el romántico.
Dos películas románticas que me dejaron una gran impresión son Cuestión de tiempo (About Time) y ¡Eterno resplandor de una mente sin recuerdos! (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

EN: I have some beautiful memories with people I met while traveling.
One of the most special ones was in Budapest, Hungary, where I shared a meal and spent an amazing day with some friends I had just met.
That day left such a warm impression on all of us that we met again later in Korea after I returned home.
Meeting new friends through travel and sharing unforgettable moments has become one of the most meaningful parts of my journey.

ES: Tengo recuerdos muy bonitos con personas que conocí durante mis viajes.
Uno de los más especiales fue en Budapest, Hungría, donde compartí una comida y pasé un día increíble con unos amigos que acababa de conocer.
Ese día fue tan especial para todos que nos volvimos a encontrar en Corea después de que regresé.
Conocer nuevos amigos mientras viajo y compartir momentos inolvidables se ha convertido en una de las partes más significativas de mi viaje.

Teach, Learn, Share

EN: What I truly want to learn from this journey is your culture and language—that alone is more than enough for me. And in return, I’ll gladly share everything I can with you.
I can teach you Korean and tell you all about Korean culture as much as I know.
When I was younger, I played the drums, so I could also teach you a bit about music and instruments!
I also majored in fashion, so if you’re into clothes, I’d love to go shopping together.
During my military service in Korea, I worked as a driver, so I can even teach you how to drive, if you’re interested :) I’m open to sharing and learning—let’s create meaningful experiences together!

ES: Lo que realmente quiero aprender en este viaje es su cultura y su idioma. ¡Eso para mí ya es más que suficiente! Y a cambio, estaré encantado de compartir todo lo que pueda con ustedes.
Puedo enseñarles coreano y hablarles sobre la cultura coreana tanto como me sea posible.
Cuando era niño, tocaba la batería, así que también puedo enseñarles un poco sobre música e instrumentos.
Además, estudié moda, así que si les interesa la ropa, me encantaría ir de compras juntos.
Durante mi servicio militar en Corea, trabajé como conductor, así que incluso podría enseñarles a manejar, si les interesa :) Estoy abierto a compartir y aprender. ¡Hagamos juntos experiencias inolvidables!

EN: I’m good at housework! Whether it’s cooking, cleaning, shopping, or walking the dog, you can count on me to help with anything needed for our daily life together.
I believe it’s not polite to just receive kindness without giving back—so if you offer me your generosity, I’ll make sure to return it in every way I can.
I love working out, so I can be your gym buddy, your photographer, or even your driver if needed.
I can also be your Korean teacher or just a fun friend to hang out with. Just let me know what you need—I’m happy to help!

ES:¡Soy bueno con las tareas del hogar! Ya sea cocinar, limpiar, hacer compras o pasear al perro, pueden contar conmigo para todo lo que se necesite en la vida diaria.
Creo que no es correcto recibir sin devolver, así que si me ofrecen su generosidad, haré todo lo posible por devolverla con gratitud.
Me encanta hacer ejercicio, así que puedo ser su compañero de entrenamiento, su fotógrafo, o incluso su conductor, si lo necesitan.
