If you are curious and really want to know why I might have declined, check to see if maybe you can find the answer on this list:

- I decline requests if they are for dates when I am travelling, or if I already have surfers scheduled to arrive. This should be obvious.

- If your request is an obvious c/p request, I will decline it as well.

- If I can tell from your request that you haven't read through my profile INCLUDING THE "MY HOME" SECTION, or you are not specific about times and dates, I will decline your request outright.

- If your request does not match what I can offer - I make it very clear how many people and how many days etc.! - your request will be declined outright.

- If you send a message rather than a request and it reflects that you have not read my profile, do not expect any answer from me.

- If you don't know the exact dates, or if the dates are flexible, please send a message rather than a request. I dislike receiving requests for fx 10 days and then being asked to pick 2 nights out of those 10. I will then have to decline the request and THEN negotiate with you the exact dates. It's easier to negotiate first and THEN send the formal request. :)

- If your profile is incomplete or not written in English, I will decline as well.

- If you are two surfers, you must send a link to the other surfer's profile along with your request. I don't host people who are not CS'ers, so don't send me a request if the other person does not have a CS profile. You can't use Couchsurfing if you don't have a profile. I don't have any interest in Facebook profiles.

- I do NOT use CS for dating and decline requests with improper undertones.

- No, I will not help you with VISA applications, I don't have a room or a flat for you to rent for the next six months, I don't know where you can get one either, you can't register your address with me in order to obtain a CPR number - seriously, it shouldn't be necessary to even mention this! If this is your intention then you have no business using CS!

- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO READ MY FULL PROFILE, THEN I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO HOST YOU OR SEND YOU A PROPER REPLY!

As mentioned I reply to ALL genuine requests, so please do both of us a favour and don't waste time on sending me bad requests. Please consider this before you request as it is a great waste of time and goodwill on my part and not within the CS spirit. Thank you! :)
