About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Re-learn that the world is an amazing place full of incredible people if you're willing to open your heart and mind to them.

ABOUT ME

I work for a children's hair salon in Bellevue, WA doing basically anything that needs to be done. Mainly I work on product formulations for our natural product line and managing the marketing and community events in which we participate.

In my own time, I'm working on a children's book with friends and starting an ornamental plant business.

In my life right now, I'm really focusing on trying to do the kind of work that makes me happy, and after two years, it's starting to look and feel like it's happening. It's the most amazing feeling in the world.

All of this focus on work has cut out a large chunk of the social, and I'm ready to relax a little and start enjoying the world and people around me again. I can't wait to meet new people and see new places!

PHILOSOPHY

Anything that gives you an excuse to use a new tool is a worthwhile project.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a road tripper from way back, and I have a fairly large network of friends and family dotted throughout the Western United States, so I always hop from couch to couch on my travels to maximize the time I get to spend with each of them.

Interests

I'm working on teaching myself special effects makeup, advanced organic chemistry and SQL coding at the moment. Also trying to pull together a children's book with friends to self publish. I will take on any new project, regardless of medium, if it tickles my fancy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled with a carnival doing games a few years back. It was the most difficult and crazy experience, but fundamentally changed the way I interact with the world around me. I met some of the most amazing people in that show, got over my hesitations of speaking to anyone and now can say "1 duck for $2, 3 ducks for $5" in four languages.
