Overview
About Me
Texas native, country boy straight up but have been living in the city, (Austin being the biggest city that I've ever lived in).
Fairly intense listener that I forget to speak up, haha. Always interested in talking about music especially that I don't know so I can listen to later!
Vinyl junkie. Working on my collection.
I graduated with a theatre degree down at Texas State so I'm an avid live performance goer.
That being mentioned, I'm an improviser. So, I'm pretty good at running bits and keeping a positive attitude!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here in New Zealand on a working holiday visa. I wanted to visit a good many places while I'm here working and just enjoying the country side!
From another angle, improv has done a lot of good in my life. It has made me feel more comfortable around strangers and has definitely opened me up to new ideas about what do with new friends. Of my non-improviser friends that have seen my shows, they ask me "Do you know those people really well?" and I tell them "Well, kinda. I met them like 3 hours ago". They're always shocked cuz on stage, these familiar strangers and I connected on a purely playful level.
I hope to meet and get to know people with this in mind!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
The Sound of Animals Fighting, The Fall of Troy, Daft Punk, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Sleater-Kinney. To name a few, I gravitate to more punk and experimental music. Jazz also plays a large part of my listening habits.
Movies:
Oceans 11, Waking Life, Clerks, Royal Tenenbaums. I'd say that I like more heady films. Not the biggest horror fan. Comedy is great if its more campy. And OMG, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 is one of my favorite things to kill time doing!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've graduated college, haha.
