I am an industrial engineering student in Istanbul. I am interested in traveling mainly because I enjoy experiencing different cultures and making friends.
I guess I can say that I am a person with a good sense of humor other than the times I sound mean because I misuse the language. :/

Because books, movies, streets, tours are just not enough to get to know a culture, and definetely not as fun as couchsurfing.

In general, I enjoy the slow, peaceful (some say boring) acoustic or piano songs and covers. Peter Cincotti and Norah Jones are the first names I could think of.
For movies, I do not pick type but I really like the mind-bending movies with twisted endings like The Game (1997).
Some of the books I am never tired of reading are 1984, S. Zweig and F. Kafka books and some poets from Turkey.
Lastly, I like Lord of the Rings music, movies and books.

The best way to learn a culture is to interact with local people. So it is a privilege to be hosted by a local, and I treat it as one.
