Spent many years travelling and fell in love with it, once you start it's hard to give it up -it's sooo addictive.
Just moved to Australia to live after wanting to emigrate here for years!

PHILOSOPHY

I recently found that if you are sad, bake a cake and its impossible not to smile! (Unless someone then eats that cake before you get a slice, that would be rubbish!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Loved couch surfing and meeting up with Couch surfers all around Canada. Have been to a few social CS meetings here in Perth and hope to get more involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am loving Couch Surfing so far. Nearly everything I became involved in in Toronto was through CS in one way or another. Pub nights, gigs, parties, BBQ's and I also arranged a mass camping trip to Algonquin National Park - fun times! I have made some fantastic friends and I hope I will know them for a long time - Come to Australia!!!
It's great that you can find a community of friends all over the world.

Interessen

Cooking, eating good food, drinking, listening to live music, camping, camp fires,chopping wood, fireworks, dancing, hiking, skiing,WWOOFing, going sledging, markets, comedy, movies, spotting cool wildlife, climbing, visiting wineries and meeting new people.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of the outdoors here in WA.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

There are so many, but Tarantino movies are great as well as Tim Burton. Not forgetting good old British films, Lock stock, Snatch, Layer Cake, Withnel and I, Sean of the Dead.
Gotta love - A Beautiful Mind, The Shining, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Point Break, Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing, Sin City, Donnie Darko, Dodge Ball, Anchor Man, Batman - but only like the newer ones - all the Hanibal movies.
Also like my fair share of kids films lol Madagascar, Shrek, Nemo, How to Tame a Dragon - Can't help it! Not so much into chick flicks but have been known to watch the odd one.
I read all sorts of books, I like travel reading and hearing about others experiences. Would like to write a book about my travels one day, who knows maybe I will.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Got to swim in the water with the elephants in Thailand and give them a good scrub down with a wash brush. Who woulda' thought they would be hairy and prickly??
Also did a big sailing trip a few years back, 2 of us sailed from Australia to Mauritius, good times!!
