About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working at a private school that is in its 2nd year. We started it from scratch only a month before we opened the doors to students last year. It has proven to be much harder than anticipated, and we are doing all we can to keep it going.
ABOUT ME
I am a middle school/ high school Spanish teacher 9 months a year and a nomad the other 3. I love travel, teaching, helping my students, Spanish, volunteering, volleyball, salsa dancing, playing guitar, reading and working out.
I'm not too much into drinking (only occasionally), so if you are looking for someone to hang out and get smashed with, maybe I'm not your girl. If you'd like to meet for coffee, a run, a walk, a talk or some kind of event, count me in!
I love all different kinds of people from all different cultures and am thankful for CS that gives us all the opportunity to connect with people we'd of otherwise never crossed paths with.
Do I believe everything happens for a reason? Not so much anymore, even though I'd like to. I do, however, believe in cause and effect. I can't say that any of the CSers I've met was "for a reason" but I can say that the relationships I've built with them and the experiences I've had have profoundly changed my life!
Let's meet!
PHILOSOPHY
Under construction! But in the meantime, 2 quotes that kind of sum it all up...
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. ~Mark Twain
âTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.â
