About Me

I love adventures and I can't seem to stay in one place. In the past couple of years I've traveled and volunteered in Spain, Chile, and a few countries in Central America. I also moved to California for a while. At the moment I teach elementary school in Connecticut.

I love discovering new places, meeting new people, and learning about almost anything. I'm positive, friendly, daydream way too often, have trouble turning down dessert, and love the mountains.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the most memorable things about traveling is the people you meet along the way. I'm on the Couchsurfing website because I think meeting people is one of the best ways to get to know a place.

Interests

Anything that gets me outside or to a new place - running, backpacking, hiking, and traveling are all activities I enjoy. I come from a big Italian family and food has always been a big part of my life - cooking, eating, preparing, and learning about food are always high on my list. Somehow Italian dishes haven't become my specialty, but I can cook many other great meals. I love to lead a healthy lifestyle, but can't say no to pizza or chocolate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m currently reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, which has been really interesting so far. I enjoyed reading Tracks by Robin Davidson. I also love Wild by Cheryl Strayed and Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle. I like to listen to Ray LaMontagne, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, and much more. Katie Perry and Justin Timberlake are also pretty fantastic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made so many memories backpacking a section of the Appalachian Trail. The trail and the people on the trail are amazing. I also just finished hiking the John Muir Trail. The Sierra's are incredible and I loved every step of that hike!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to teach an impromptu yoga class or anything else you can think of that I have experience with!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy to share conversation over a great home cooked meal, coffee, or a drink!
