About Me
CURRENT MISSION
..living the moment as best as we can...
ABOUT ME
I can't get used to the idea of settling down, like buying a house and living in one place for EVER. I love to make plans and be on the move. But when I'm forced to leave a place I am attached to I get disconcerted and melancholic. I'm independent but gather all this crap that ties me down. I'm very social but again need a lot of time to myself. I would love to change the world for the better but often too lethargic to change my own life. I have a good sense of humor, occasionally I can be a bit naive. I genuinely enjoy behaving childishly at times but then again take myself and life too seriously.
PHILOSOPHY
expect the unexpected.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's great. I met some really amazing people along the way...sad only that they had to leave.
Interests
What the world has to offer...cultures and languages, good food, a warm shower, silent meditation, yoga, a swim in a cool pool or lake, stunning views from a mountaintop, the ocean, birds that make odd noises, chocolate, chilli, making plans and realising them, falling in love, getting to know new people and keeping in touch with old friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely adore cinema - it opens up your mind to a whole new world of ideas, places and emotions. Some of my favorite movies include Night on Earth (most Jim Jarmusch films), Gadjo Dilo is a superbe movie probably hardly anyone knows. I cried watching Francoise Ozons 5X2, Fellinis Amarcord, Trois Couleurs by Kieslowski, the Lives of Others and a couple more. I can truly recommend Waltz with Bashir.
Music is important but could be even more important.. I stopped playing the piano but would love to play an instrument at some point in my life. Lately I have been listening to Sigur Ros. In Sydney I discovered Mum, also an Icelandic band; I love the Kings of Convenience, Kings of Leon, the Cinematic Orchestra, the American Analog Set are fabulous; I like Lhasa de Sela, Laura Veirs, Feist, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Björk, Le Tigre, Arcade Fire, Interpol, and Indie Rock...and many more.
I love being inspired and challenged by arts, performance, theater and contemporary dance - the crazier and more abstract the better. If you ever get a chance to see a dance performance by Wim Vandekeybus and Ultima Vez you'll be thrilled!!
Yes, I also read. However not as much as I'd like to. Latest books include some classics Virgina Woolf's Orlando, Hamlet by John Marsden, Gabriel Garcia Marquez News of a Kidnapping. Most books by Lily Brett.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived in Paris for a couple of months. Found and lost love. Realised a dream. followed my intuition.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm interested in taking better, more abstract photos...gardening skills...and practicing my Spanish and French....but not both at the same time :) So if you can teach/help out with any of these - you're even more welcome!!
