About Me

I am a pretty goal oriented and businesss minded person but in my free time I also like to live life to the fullest, I love a challange, and I like to improve myself, do sports, cook foods, volunteer to help people, read books, meet new people, try new things, learn new stuff, have a great laugh and just overall I try to enjoy the journey every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend and ex-roommate introduced me to couchsurfing by having people staying at our place right after I just moved there. First I was really surprised that a service like this exists, but ever since we had our first guests, I immediately loved it! I was surprised just how cool these people can be.

So since than I love this community, I love to meet new people, I love to learn new things, I love the good talks and all the fun, and I love to help if I can.

Interests

When I am traveling I like sightseeing and historical buildings (mostly castles, or buildings which have a history or nice architecture, not very much churches...sry), I also like to just watch nice landscapes, be in nature, I like to have fun, try new thing, and I also like to get to know people better, who they are, whats their story - I love a good, intelligent, thought-provoking conversation.

I also like to learn about each culture's/country's own history, traditions, politics, business and a little bit of language. Oh, and most importantly I like to eat the traditional foods!!

I also started to eat more healthy, kinda vegan-ish, but sometimes I just eat what I want - there are some meals I just cant resist! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of art, it is not so much a question of what style it is, as more about the quality of it.

I like all kinds of music, nowadays I am starting to get more and more into indie, folk, southern gothic and blues music - basically anything with acoustic guitar and some vocals (but it has to be unique!).

I love movies and TV mini-series (where it has a well-defined end and its not just about milking the show for money) but nowadays I have less time to watch them. Some of my all time favourites are The Wire and True Detective, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Scarface, Into the Wild, Grand Budapest Hotel (basically any Wes Anderson movie), Gone girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (love these dark, broody, mystery-crime movies), The Shining (I know they are kinda "stupid" but for some reason I really like some of Stephen King's movies), Team America (it has some classic jokes :) ), basically everything Monty Python, What we do in the shadows, Birdman, Fight Club, Sicario, Wall street (the old one, not the new one) Howl's moving castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited away, etc. Also I like old movies from the 50's and 60's, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, Birds, The rope, etc.

I also like political comedy shows such as Real Time with Bill Maher and Colbert Report, Daily Show, Last Week with John Oliver. And I watch a lot of documentaries about history, the universe, politics, etc.

When I cook or clean I also like to listen to some podcast about either self development, personal effectiveness, or about true crime, history, mysteries.

I love to read a good book but I mostly read about biographies, self development, business books or books about communication and pschychology, and sometimes about history, world war II. Although nowadays I started to read some really old sci-fi books (Asimov, Frank Herbert's Dune, Heinlein, etc.) which I rather enjoy - its interesting to see how writers saw the future 40-50 years ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Successfully organized a charity event to collect money to give a child the opportunity to be able walk.

Also I sat through a Sex and the City episode (hey, it was not easy :) )

Teach, Learn, Share

Some life lessons I had to gain the hard way, my philosophy and positive attitude on life, a good conversation about basically any thought-provoking subject

Also I love to talk about business (although I understand most couchsurfers are not really into that so then I dont bother them with it, but still :) )

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bad jokes, unbearable sarcasm, and some know-it-all banter :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
