About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world and to experience life as fully as possible.

ABOUT ME

I've been told Sagittarius don't have hobbies, they collect hobbies. While I don't know about that, my interests are varied and numerous. Originally from the Sierra Nevada mountains, I spent most of childhood between there, the Bay Area, and Stirling, Scotland. After many years on the West Coast teaching gardening and nutrition in the schools, I traded it in for the Midwest to run a local teaching farm in inner city Cleveland. However I quickly came to miss the mountains, and now call Asheville, NC home. Despite my tiny urban apartment, I still count myself a modern day homesteader with my window box gardens and slightly mad fermentation experiments.

PHILOSOPHY

My family motto has always been, "In for a fight, in for a funeral." If you're going to blow it, blow it big.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent three months hiking the Appalachian Trail collecting stories and folk songs. It was an amazing!

I also did a solo cycling trip from San Francisco to Santa Barbara.

Anyone who is willing to share. I always like to leave myself open to experience and adventure, and like my grandfather always used to say: "It's a damn poor day you don't learn something new."
