About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find the perfect city

ABOUT ME

I'm working part time until medical school in the fall. I really like people and I’m very interested in what they have to say. I’ve been told I have a strong personality. Of course I like to travel and I’m always in search of new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd say trying to be happy and to make those around you (especially those you care about) happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I’ve mostly surfed. And I hope to do a lot of it because I love to travel and my experience so far is that it makes a great thing even more enjoyable. I recently hosted a few people while staying in Medellin Columbia and my experiences ranged from Good to Super Outstanding. I hope to host again soon, I currently don’t have a couch. I’ll see if it is a possibility when I go back to school in the fall. If not it will definitely be in my future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In May ’09, I rode my Kawasaki Kz550 GPz from Boston to Los Angeles to get to an internship and couchsurfed most of the nights that I spent on the way in a bunch of cool cities, Flagstaff, Amarillo, State College, and Oklahoma City. That was a great experience, but in case you aren’t familiar, the GPz is a street bike, not made for cross-country travel and my ass suffered for it. And I want to say thank you again to all of my hosters on that trip who took me in on such short notice. You guys made the trip a whole lot more enjoyable. I have now also surfed in Ensenada Mexico, Barranquilla Colombia, Panama City Panama, and Chapel Hill US. Thank you to everyone of you guys who offered a couch as well.

Interests

My favorite things are pretty simple, talking to people, reading, listening to music, cooking. That said, I like a lot of things that are a little more fast paced. Riding motorcycles, boxing, wrestling, snowboarding, longboarding, gymnastics. I also want to try windsurfing and surf some more. I also like regular sports, soccer, basketball, volleyball, anything you can pick and play.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Sarajevo, Bosnia. This was definitely an awesome experience and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity. Somehow I leaped right into that and it all worked out like clockwork.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would say I am a very curious and opinionated person, I'll talk about and learn about anything from anyone. I also specifically want to learn how to play the trumpet. I know a lot about biology (people rarely take me up on that), nutrition and healthy living, a little bit of Spanish and French.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Israel, Mexico
