关于我
I'm someone who collects people the way others collect stamps — every person from a different culture adds a new lens to how I see the world.
During university I traveled to almost every province in China. Work slowed that down, but I still spend my weekends exploring Changsha and wherever else I can reach — paddle-boarding, hiking, or just wandering somewhere without a plan. When I can't travel, I read.
Speaking of apartments — I share mine with a 5-year-old Border Collie who arrived the day I graduated and has been my best friend and most demanding roommate ever since. She completely owns the place. I'm just staff.
I'm an ENFP, which probably explains everything.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I'm drawn to real conversations — the kind where you walk away seeing something differently. Meeting people from different backgrounds isn't just interesting to me, it's how I make sense of the world and push the edges of what I know.
I also genuinely like being useful. When I can, I open my apartment to travelers — not just to offer a place to sleep, but because I love showing people the Changsha that doesn't exist on any travel guide.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Took a 46-hour hard-seat train from Wuhan to Tibet. No sleeper berth — just a window seat, strangers, instant noodles, and the landscape slowly becoming something I had no words for.
But the part that stayed with me wasn't the scenery. In Lhasa, I joined a volunteer group and we traveled to a remote village in Mendui to deliver supplies — stationery, warm clothes, food — collected and bought from donations back home. The village was so sparse that neighbors were visible only as distant dots across the land, families migrating with the seasons, drinking water chipped from frozen streams in winter, no electricity after dark, just kerosene lamps.
Two children in the village had cerebral palsy — the result of generations of isolation. But what I remember most is the sound of kids laughing, and a couple standing in front of their humble home, holding their child, watching us leave until we disappeared from sight.
One of the best decisions I've made for no practical reason whatsoever — except that it changed something in me permanently.
教,学,和分享
Changsha from the inside — the real food, the real neighborhoods, the things worth knowing. I can also tell you what it's actually like to grow up and live in contemporary China, which is usually more complicated and more interesting than people expect.
In return, tell me how the world looks from where you're standing. Curious about almost everything. Except math.

Local knowledge, good conversation, postcards from places I've been — and if you ever come through Changsha, a Border Collie who will immediately decide whether she approves of you.
