About Me

New to this whole couchsurfing thing, but not new to the travel thing.

I caught the travel bug while studying abroad in Bangkok. I fell madly in love with Thailand, and consider it my home away from home. That experience led me to working as an au pair for a year in France after graduating university. Now, I've been back in the states for a few years and exploring my own backyard.

I'm back in school trying to get into the health field. Currently, I'm working on becoming an EMT. I like hiking, exploring, and anything that involves being outdoors. More recently, I'm venturing into the realm of climbing, which has been a fun challenge and great experience thanks to the wonderful climbing community in Las Vegas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish I could host people, but I'm unable to at the moment. Let's meet up and hang out!

Music, Movies, and Books

This question gives me some minor anxiety because there's way too many to list here, haha.

I appreciate most styles of music. I used to have a radio show in college (KUCI in Irvine, check it out!) and they tried to make the DJ's list one or two genres they'd play, so I wrote "eclectic" on my application. I'm not into most songs on standard radio these days.

I enjoy most styles of movies, but there's something about old school horror that gets me (think Nosferatu or Zombi 2). I also enjoy a good foreign film when I'm in the mood to read subtitles. Looking for any and all recommendations, as I could stand to improve my movie game.

Some of my favorites: The Stranger, The Old Man and the Sea, Perfume, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Anna Karenina, and The Jungle
