Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've stayed with a few people and had good experiences, I'm considering a year in South America so if I end up doing that I'll be looking into couchsurfing more (and volunteering places, so if you have suggestions for cool places to volunteer, let me know).

Interests

I'm outdoorsy. I horseback ride, dirtbike, bike, hike, rock climb, camp, ball, snowboard, pretty much anything that involves adrenaline. But I also like books, music, singing, and of course geeking out.

Oh, and eating. I really... really... like eating. I mean dang... Food is epic.

Anywho, I also try to do the requisite cool things for whereever I am, so skydiving, zipling in Costa Rica, surfing, volcano boarding, etc etc etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First time I saw the rainforest in Boquete, it was unreal and ethereally beautiful.

Skydiving was amazing, naturally.

Third... When I visited some locals a fried of mine knew well in the barrios around Granada in Nicaragua. They literally lived in a hovel, one woman trying to support six daughters. No sons, no husband, no brothers. It was inspirational, yet saddening.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love singing, though I do not claim to be very good. That said, I am more than happy to share the techniques I learned in class with those who enjoy it as well. I'm pretty handy with computers (I work in IT) so I can offer some insight if you have a project you're working on. I know a looooot of line dances if you have clubs that do that sort of thing...

As for learning, anything you can teach me is welcome knowledge.
